Grand Master Young In Cheon has had a passion for Taekwondo all his life. Beginning at a young age in Korea he helped teach children at his school, after competing and training for many years he developed the skills to coach the National Korean Marine Corp (ROK).
Master Cheon graduated from Physical Training College in In Cheon, Korea. 
Grand Master Cheon opened his first school in the city of Diamond Bar, CA in 1991. It was a small school but quickly grew and has moved several times but now his dojang resides in the Country Hills Town Center in Diamond Bar, Y.I.C. Taekwondo (former owner of US Taekwondo Center).

Grand Master Cheon has accomplished many great events in Taekwondo history. He has traveled around the world to coach the United States National Collegiate Teams and has produced Gold Medalists in almost every country.
Master Cheon has hosted the World Taekwondo Festival in 1994 where Taekwondo was broadcasted on television. He has been hosting the Y.I.Cheon Invitational Taekwondo Championships (formerly known as the L.A. Open) for the past 5 years. Master Cheon trained one of the highest numbers of Junior and National Olympic team members in the United States.
In 2000, Grandmaster Young In Cheon was appointed Head Coach for the USA Taekwondo Olympic Team for Sydney, Australia. Steven Lopez and Master Cheon brought home a Gold Medal!
Grand Master Young In Cheon's mission in life is to promote and spread the awareness of Taekwondo. He has achieved many awards and recognization for his dedication and hard work in the Taekwondo community, he was awarded the Coach of the Year twice by the U.S. Olympic Committee. Master Cheon is always contemplating on bigger and better events and ideas for the world to see.
Grand Master Cheon's dreams for Taekwondo in the United States did not end after he came back from the Olympics...it only made his dreams more closer to reality! There are many people in the world inspired by Grand Master Cheon's honesty, kindness and humble attitude.
